Cultivated. Native to Africa.
Stipule like reduced leaves sometimes present at the base of petioles. Leaflets base sometime with 1 -3 yellowish glands.
Flower with stamens 4, didynamous, inserted on corolla tube, filaments glabrous, anther divergent. Stigma 2-lobed.
